GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES: Under the direction of the Electrical Department supervisor, this position will be required to work in a team environment, ensuring quality service to all customers both internal and external. This position is responsible for inspecting, repairing, modifying and installing electrical and electronic systems, circuits and devices in a production environment. Essential Functions: * Fabricates, installs, connects, tests and repairs electrical and electronic circuits and systems. Follows technical documentation ensuring that wiring is completed to specification. Is familiar with and adheres to all pertinent electrical standards (i.e. NEC, CE, NFPA ); Troubleshoots equipment and / or components to determine proper operation or need for adjustments or replacement. Ability to use basic electrical test equipment including; voltage probe, multi-meter and ammeter; Demonstrates the ability to read and comprehend all standard electrical documentation including construction prints, functional diagrams (schematics) and vendor manuals. Records any changes to construction documentation to reflect machine as built . Reports deviations to supervisor; Conforms to all electrical safe work practices; Organizes and maintains electrical components in machine production area, draws parts and materials from stock as required; Interacts with production personnel to resolve manufacturing and assembly issues and to provide technical assistance needed during the initial fabrication and testing of machine complexes; Qualifications: Minimum of high-school diploma or GED; Military Technical Training, Technical Certification or License preferred; Zero to three (3) years electrical experience in an OEM environment; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Ability to work in a fast paced, multi-tasking, cross-functional environment; Maintains professional knowledge in applicable areas. Keeps abreast of changes in the field to include new materials, processes and methods. Has a working knowledge of client standards and preferences. ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS: Working skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with internal and external customers; in communicating effectively, both orally and in writing. Working skill in the use of personal computers and related word processing software. Ability to work in Microsoft Excel 2007.
