About the Role
You will be responsible for planning and executing revenue generating lead generation campaigns to public libraries – both to gain new libraries as clients and to add new product to our existing library clients. In the future we may expand lead generation to target other B2B vertical markets. Through understanding the metrics in tracking the outcomes of these campaigns, you will tune both the offers and content as well as the marketing channels (email, events, webinars, organic and paid search, etc.) in order to improve outcomes over time. This person will work closely with the field Sales organization and will be responsible for all North American marketing programs. After proving campaigns in North America, he/she will work with our international teams to adapt and implement these programs in other geographies. You will report to the VP, Marketing.
We are launching a new “lead2sales” process and this person will be critical to its success! This is a new role and you will need to be a strategic thinker in building the marketing programs plan and an effective executer in implementing these plans. Our marketing stack includes HubSpot and Salesforce.com, so knowledge of both marketing automation and CRM systems is essential. Though we do participate in a limited set of in-person events, digital marketing will make up the majority of our efforts. This position requires a candidate with a blend of strategy, technical, creative, analytic and project management expertise.
Create the marketing programs strategy and plan, including an annual marketing programs plan and budget, working with key individuals across the organization.
Implement and track all lead generation activity, constantly testing new ideas and tuning our approach to maximize outcomes. Help develop dashboards and reports to measure campaign effectiveness and return on marketing investment.
Test and fine tune current offers as well as develop new offers, including best practices content, to drive marketing program success.
Work closely with the Sales team to develop marketing programs that target key market segments and personas.
Work in HubSpot and partner with our Design and Editorial team to create emails and landing pages necessary in implementing marketing campaigns.
Establish best practices in HubSpot and Salesforce.com around our lead2sales process, and help educate the Sales team on proper usage.
Create and tune lead nurturing programs as well as lead scoring in HubSpot to maximize campaign outcomes.
Contribute to social media campaigns, using offers and content created for marketing programs.
4-10 years of marketing programs experience, creating and executing lead generation programs that deliver consistently strong outcomes
Experience with email and digital marketing, including lead nurturing
Hands-on experience with Salesforce.com and marketing automation systems
Strong organizational skills and good at collaborating with many groups across the company
Good communications and presentations skills
B2B marketing expertise, having worked in an organization that provides qualified leads to the Sales team, and tracks results across all stages of the lead2sales lifecycle
Makes decisions quickly, where possible leveraging data
Experience creating and tracking a marketing programs budget and marketing programs KPIs
Experience with digital media, mobile apps or marketing to libraries (or similar organizations) a plus
Undergraduate degree required, MBA a plus
